• Primarily responsible for supporting and assisting lead character designers in the creation of characters for various media such as animation, video games and other forms of visual media;
  
• Research and gather reference material (involving researching historical and cultural references, exploring different artistic styles and analysing the work of other character designers) to help inform the character design process;
  
• Work with the lead designer to create rough sketches and initial concept drawings for the character, brainstorming and exploring different design alternatives;
